Located near the 1,000 Island Islands region, the Adirondacks, and only minutes from the Canadian border, there are many activities and ministry opportunities here. The Goodwood Blvd. church of Christ in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking to fill the Pulpit Minister position with a man who is married, has a college degree, and experience in the role of a pulpit minister. Doug Burleson has served as our preacher since June 2004, but he will be leaving us in June 2010 to join the Bible faculty at Freed-Hardeman University. Goodwood is an active congregation of about 300 members that has solid youth, college, and senior adult ministries. The congregation has also been heavily involved in mission work both locally and in Trujillo, Honduras, as well as in disaster relief following Hurricanes Katrina and Gustav.
